Today was extremely busy, and I spent a good part of the day trying working with a software company to try and fix a corrupt database.
The takeaway I want you all to think about is your backup method. I have preached the 3-2-1 backup method for years. 3 copies of your day, on 2 different backup sources, with one being offsite.
The first copy of your data is on your computer.
The second copy of your data is on an external backup device.
The third copy of your data is backed up to an online backup service. This is in case your building burns down. I know it rarely happens, but are you willing to gamble your data on it?
Oh, and the good news today? I had another 6 AM conference call with Microsoft and Appriver, and we solved the Sharepoint issue that had been killing us to 2 weeks. Yeah!
